Proclaiming Jesus Christ in Word and Deed

Music Ministry

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into His presence with singing.” Psalm 100: 1-2

Music is an integral part of the overall worship experience at CrossRoads United Methodist Church. Our choirs and musicians are committed to leading a meaningful worship experience every week. Our music is passionately convergent, pulling from many different styles and genres. Sunday worship at CrossRoads is enriched by an array of talented musical ensembles and the collective voice of the congregation singing hymns and spiritual songs in response to God’s wonderful grace. We are delighted that you are interested in our musical worship and we hope you will consider becoming a part of CrossRoads music ministry. We look forward to joyful fellowship with you as we lift our voices in an offering to God.

Chancel Choir

Our chancel choir is open to all who seek to praise God with a joyful noise. Our choir consists of roughly 20 dedicated members. The music for this choir includes traditional “classical” music, contemporary “praise” music, Southern Gospel music and African-American spirituals. We are accompanied by piano, keyboard/organ, and occasionally orchestra. This choir meets for rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the choir room. If you are interested in becoming a member of our chancel choir, please contact the Director of Music Ministry for details.

Praise Team

Our Praise Team is made up of 11 talented singers and instrumentalists who love to praise God . The Praise Team's style blends a lush choral harmony with contemporary “praise” instrumentation to embody a “New Traditional” style that is easy for all ages to identify with. We regularly rehearse Wednesday evenings following the Chancel Choir rehearsal and are always open to potential new members. Please contact the Director of Music Ministry for details.

Our Handbell choir is a 3 octave bell choir that consists of 11 talented members. They provide special music and anthems for our Sunday morning services as well as other special services throughout the year. They meet every Wednesday at 6:00 PM. If you are interested in joining our Handbell choir, please contact our Director of Music Ministry for details.
